The Nervous Autumn-a poem by Jay Lewallen

Updated: Oct 2, 2020

Autumn does not seem to know which way it should go

Shall it stay warm or must it blow cold

Will the fires burn or the waters flood

Should it turn to ash or turn to mud

The length of the day caves into the night

As darkness grows, the light is less bright

So look to autumn for answers there

You will know before summer what your fruit tree will bear

Enjoyed the Nervous Autumn poem; looking forward to the enhanced King Alfred and hoping to see you on family Zoom sometime in the near future - or at least Barb!
