Out Here In The Fog

Written by Jay Lewallen

There’ll be no more walking on the edge for the blind dog

There’ll be no more sleeping on the ledge for the slow frog

Evolution keeps rolling along

It hath no mercy if you’re not strong

Mercy’s up to us, out here in the fog

I think I know what’s real but it’s twisted

I think I know a good deal but I missed it

Life keeps rolling along

Change comes hard if you’re not strong

Change is up to us, out here in the fog

Heaven on earth is a place in the middle

The country band states its case with a fiddle

Music keeps rolling along

Salvation is found in a rock song

Jesus plays bass, out here in the fog

The view out there in the street is getting hazy

People on top of the heap are acting crazy

The world keeps rolling along

Revolution is hard if you’re not strong

The planes fly low, out here in the fog

The trains roll slow, out here in the fog

I spend my dough, out here in the fog

The dim lights glow, out here in the fog

The foghorns blow, out here in the fog
