Donut is a song about different characters based on people I met while working in and spending time in bars. Some were customers and some were co-workers. I added a 3rd verse (see Lyrics page for Donut) as the song seemed too short and a couple of new characters jumped into and out of my head and on to the page. Joining Sally, Lucky Lew, Slippery Sam and Leroy Jack are now Early Bird and Big Al. The bar just got more crowded.
